Homage to Jean-Michel Basquiat & Andy Warhol 2024
This evolving, four-part series--is entirely dedicated to the vision and legacy of Jean-Michel Basquiat and Andy Warhol--for their provocative- and courageous- brilliance, as both--individual artists, of recent times, with their own unique artistic visions, and voices--as well as the otherwise-unlikely, juggernaut-powerhouse team that their presence created for contemporary art, by the two of them working collaboratively.
In order to appropriately honor--not just the inspiration, meaningfulness, and enduring legacy of their artwork--but also, their noteworthy productivity--as the initial single-series tribute was drawing to a close--the ideas for an additional, three-, distinct series--arose, and began to proliferate almost-instantaneously. Each series displays--not just its own distinct style, and areas of focus, but--each series displays an increasing amount of artistic courage--as well as a visual illustration of the artistic elements that remained from the initial inspiration, into its logical, next natural evolution from one sub-series, to another.
The most unexpected, and noteworthy iteration of this homage, can be seen in the series-culmination, titled, "The Emperor's Clothes - Ruling Class Clothing, Attire, And Haberdashery"--through the discovery and emergence of an entirely new contemporary art genre: 'Wearable' 3-D Tissue Art, and the creation of a brand new textile: Flexible, Acrylic-Emulsified Tissue. All four of these series of works, are currently on display, and available to be purchased privately for your own, exclusive, personal enjoyment, and wealth management security--or, for purchase by wealth management and investment groups, seeking to either diversify-, or stabilize-investments, in valuable properties that outside of the myriad of risks inherent in fiat currencies, and nebulous cryptos, abounding today. Opportunity, good fortune, and an expansion in creativity and participation in the art world are all integral elements of The Artist's aspirations, and enduring vision, that we can all be grateful for, and as such--all of the pieces within this multiple-series Homage-- have been intentionally priced to remain financially-accessible to the average blue-collar worker (except for, "The Emperor's Clothes - Ruling Class Attire & Haberdashery" sub-series culmination (2024).
