3-D/ Mixed Media Works

Inspired by the work of great, innovative painters like Jean-Michel Basquiat, Marcel Duchamp, Bansky, & Anselm Kiefer-- Jason D Wallace was quick to embrace the 3D-mixed media painting genre, and finds it to be an invaluable component of the modern & post-contemporary art world--with enormous, untapped potential. The Artist has a keen understanding of-, and interest in--the metaphorical value(s) intrinsic to the mixed media objects he selects and utilizes. After over three decades of creating 3D Mixed Media works of art, The Artist is (still) fascinated with the metaphorical meaning of objects--& how the addition of various objects--will change, complement, &/or amplify the initial metaphorical values--as well as the infinite combination of objects and media options that are possible.

These pieces reflect an insightfully-representative "snapshot" in time, of a variety of subjects, themes, and social dynamics--oftentimes, exploring the societal tensions that have arisen around such topics. We think you'll agree, that these works reflect a deeply mature, intelligent, and courageous voice. We also think you'll find these pieces both--thoughtfully abstracted, and that the subject matter and metaphorical components within, have been--framed and presented in a way that is easily palatable for mass consumption--yet intellectually, carries the iterative power of an institutional wrecking ball to systemic dynamics that provide fuel to a paradigm of exploitation.
